A modern farmhouse on open acreage with a brick base and a timber porch. The interior leans on masonry: a whitewashed brick fireplace under the vault, a brick backsplash behind marble counters, and a masonry arch built over the range.
Modern farmhouse goes wrong when it becomes a shopping list of shiplap. This one earns the label through material rather than trim, brick outside, brick inside, and a masonry arch over the range that carries real thickness.
The practical rooms got the same attention as the photographed ones: a built in desk nook with a blue drawer bank, and a mudroom with a wood bench and lockers at the door people actually use.
