We build homes for families at every stage of life, including families who need zero threshold entries and 36 inch doorways. A website that cannot be used with a keyboard would be a strange thing for that company to ship.

The standard we build to

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the baseline the rebuild was designed against, not an aspiration added afterwards.

What that means in practice

• Every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
• Focus is always visible, and the sticky header and mobile action bar are positioned so they never hide the focused element.
• A skip link jumps past the navigation to the main content.
• Colour contrast was verified for every text and interface pair. Two brand colours are used in darker variants for small text specifically because the published values do not pass at that size.
• Accordions and menus use native HTML semantics, so they work with screen readers and without JavaScript.
• Forms have real labels, described errors, and an error summary that moves focus to the first problem.
• Every photograph carries alt text describing what it contributes, written per image rather than generated.
• Animation respects undefined. Nothing autoplays with sound.
• The layout works at 200 to 400% zoom without loss of function.
• Touch targets on mobile meet minimum size requirements.

Where we know we fall short

Our client video testimonials do not yet have captions or transcripts. That is a real gap, we know about it, and it is on the list. Third party embeds, the office map, and the video player once you press play, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site.
